Cloud
Cloud that stays in Germany.
Three platforms, one operating model: OpenStack billed by usage, Proxmox VE on hardware for you alone, Kubernetes and OpenShift for containers. Run in our own data centres in Hanover and Wolfsburg, with a site in Frankfurt planned — by a company subject to German law and not to the CLOUD Act.
What is different with us
The question at the start is not a technical one: who can access your data, and under which law? Our data centres belong to us, are located in Germany and are run by our own team. kyberio is German-owned and subject to German law — a disclosure request under the US CLOUD Act does not apply here.
Building on that, the second question: what suits your workload? The Secure Public Cloud bills by usage and is ready in minutes. The Dedicated Private Cloud runs on hardware nobody else uses. We run container platforms as Kubernetes or OpenShift. These can also be combined — the same data centres, the same contacts.
What all three include: operation and monitoring by us, DDoS protection at no extra charge and three availability zones in Hanover, plus Wolfsburg more than 80 and Frankfurt more than 250 kilometres away.
- Data centres in our own hands, Hanover · Wolfsburg · Frankfurt
- ISO 27001 based on BSI IT-Grundschutz, BSI-IGZ-0552-2023
- German ownership, German law, no CLOUD Act
- Three availability zones in Hanover
- Geo-redundancy over more than 80 and more than 250 km
- DDoS protection included in every system we run
The right cloud platform for every application
Based on OpenStack
Secure Public Cloud
Compute, storage and network billed by usage, ready in minutes. Test it free of charge for fourteen days, then with no minimum purchase and no fixed term.
Proxmox VE
Private Cloud
Your environment on hardware nobody else uses — from a single node to an HA cluster across two availability zones. Fixed monthly price per stage.
Containers
Managed Kubernetes
The open standard for container orchestration, set up, updated and monitored by us. The clusters run on our OpenStack platform.
Containers
Managed OpenShift
Kubernetes with what you would otherwise assemble yourself: container registry, monitoring, log aggregation and CI/CD tools out of the box.

Frequently asked questions about the kyberio cloud
Which cloud platforms does kyberio offer?
Three: the Secure Public Cloud on OpenStack, billed by usage; the Dedicated Private Cloud on Proxmox VE, on hardware for you alone; and container platforms as Managed Kubernetes or Managed OpenShift. They can also be combined.
Where is my data stored at kyberio?
In our data centres in Hanover and Wolfsburg; in Frankfurt (DE03) we run private cloud setups and offsite backups, and the public cloud is planned there. kyberio is German-owned, subject to German law and not to the CLOUD Act.
What is the difference between the public cloud and the private cloud at kyberio?
In the Secure Public Cloud you share the hardware with others — separated per tenant — and pay by usage. In the Dedicated Private Cloud your environment runs on hardware reserved for you alone and is billed monthly per stage.
Is kyberio certified?
Yes. Among other things to ISO 27001 based on BSI IT-Grundschutz, certificate BSI-IGZ-0552-2023 — scope: data centres and cloud services. Which evidence counts for your project is something we clarify in a conversation.
Can I move from VMware to kyberio?
Yes, in two ways: Proxmox VE in the Dedicated Private Cloud or OpenStack in the Secure Public Cloud. We plan and accompany the move with you — details under VMware alternatives and migration.
How quickly is an environment available?
In the Secure Public Cloud you set up resources yourself; a test account is activated directly after a successful check. We set up private cloud environments and container platforms by arrangement.
What response times do you commit to?
We monitor around the clock, every day of the year. How quickly we intervene and through which escalation stages is set out in your contract — a time we have not committed to is not a time we state here.
